Sankranthiki Vasthunnam Gets a Major Star Cast Loaded in Hindi
Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is reportedly set to reprise the role originally played by Aishwarya Rajesh in the Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunam. The news has generated strong excitement among movie lovers, especially since the original film emerged as one of the biggest Telugu hits of recent times.
Reports suggest that the Hindi adaptation will feature Akshay Kumar in the lead role, stepping into the character played by Venkatesh Daggubati in the Telugu version. The original film, directed by Anil Ravipudi, blended family drama, comedy, and emotional moments, making it a major commercial success.
The Hindi remake is expected to retain the core entertainment value while adapting the narrative for a wider North Indian audience. According to reports, filmmaker Anees Bazmee is likely to direct the Hindi version.
Vidya Balan’s inclusion has especially caught attention because of her strong screen presence and ability to portray emotionally layered characters. Industry observers believe she is well suited for the mature and emotionally grounded role essayed by Aishwarya Rajesh in the Telugu original.
Meanwhile, actress Raashi Khanna is also rumored to be part of the remake, replacing Meenakshi Chaudhary.
Although the makers are yet to make an official announcement, the project has already created considerable buzz among both Telugu and Hindi cinema audiences.
