Telugu heroes are wasting time on getups and special looks
Screenwriter B. V. S. Ravi has sparked a fresh debate in the Telugu film industry with his comments on the current Pan-India trend. Speaking about the growing focus on elaborate looks and multiple get-ups, he remarked that many actors are spending excessive time on styling changes instead of concentrating on content and planning.
According to him, the idea of “Pan-India” has often been reduced to just publicity and marketing hype rather than a well-structured creative approach. He pointed out that while big-scale films are being announced with massive expectations, the execution sometimes lacks clarity and proper planning.
Ravi specifically appreciated Prabhas for maintaining a more focused approach, suggesting that other stars could benefit from better scheduling and preparation rather than overloading films with visual gimmicks.
His comments have triggered discussions among fans and industry circles, with many agreeing that content-driven planning is more important than cosmetic changes. At the same time, some feel that transformation and styling are part of modern cinema’s appeal. The debate once again highlights the balance between style and substance in today’s Pan-India filmmaking culture.
