Sai Rajesh Slams Fake Hype Culture in Telugu Film Industry

Director Sai Rajesh, ahead of song launch of his new film Chennai Love Story, spoke about digital hype culture and audience perception in the film industry.

He said: “YOUTUBE VIEWS KONESTHUNAM. COMMENTS KONESTHUNAM. TWITTER LO TRAILER NEGATIVE UNTE POSITIVES KONESTHUNAM. EDHI GENUINE, EDHI JANALAKI EKKUTUNDI.” He added that it is becoming difficult to understand what is real engagement and what is manufactured response in today’s digital space.

He further said: “ANI THELIDU. JANALAKI INDUSTRY PEOPLE ANTE VIRAKTHI VACHESINDI. BAYAMESTUNDI ASALE STORIES RAYALI ELANTI CINEMALU TIYYALANI.” – SAI RAJESH

According to him, there is growing confusion and fatigue among audiences due to constant noise around films, promotions, and social media reactions. He noted that filmmakers are now becoming hesitant about what kind of stories they should tell.

Sai Rajesh emphasized that cinema should not lose its honesty because of online pressure and trend-driven narratives. He expressed hope that audiences will continue to support genuine storytelling over manipulated metrics and online negativity.
