Peddi Gets AP Ticket Hike Approval Ahead of Release
The Andhra Pradesh government has officially cleared a major boost for Ram Charan’s upcoming sports drama Peddi, approving ticket rate hikes along with permission for special premiere shows ahead of its release. As per the government order, the film will have a paid premiere on June 3 at 8 PM, with ticket prices fixed at ₹600 (including GST).
For the regular theatrical run starting June 4, the state has also sanctioned a temporary hike in ticket prices for the first ten days. Single screens will be allowed to charge an additional ₹100 per ticket, while multiplexes can add ₹125 over the existing fares. This move is expected to significantly boost the film’s opening numbers, especially given the strong pre-release buzz surrounding the project.
The government order further permits five shows per day during the hike period, giving exhibitors more flexibility to maximise revenues. Industry trackers believe these revisions could help Peddi register strong openings if audience talk is positive.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is a high-budget sports drama starring Ram Charan and has been generating massive expectations across trade circles. With AP now officially opening the doors for premium pricing, all eyes are on Telangana’s response and the film’s box office performance in its crucial opening week.
