Drishyam 3 is already creating strong buzz across industries. After the massive success of the first two parts in Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi, the franchise is now gearing up for its third installment in Malayalam, scheduled for release on May 21. Directed once again by Jeethu Joseph, the film brings back the much-loved suspense drama that became a sensation across India.
Following the announcement, reports emerged suggesting that Venkatesh would soon begin work on the Telugu remake as well. However, the latest industry buzz indicates otherwise. Due to Venkatesh’s packed schedule and existing commitments, the Telugu remake may not happen immediately.
Instead, sources now claim that the Malayalam version itself could be dubbed and released in Telugu rather than being remade separately. This approach is becoming increasingly common, especially when audiences are already familiar with original-language content through OTT platforms and subtitles.
The Drishyam franchise enjoys a huge fan base in Telugu states, thanks to Venkatesh’s successful remakes of the first two parts. Still, if the remake is delayed or shelved for now, the dubbed Malayalam version could become the preferred option for quick release. As of now, there is no official confirmation from the makers regarding the Telugu version, and fans are waiting for more clarity.
