Senior Bollywood actor wants to touch Tamannah’s feet
Veteran actor Annu Kapoor has addressed the controversy surrounding his remarks on Tamannaah Bhatia, stating that he is willing to apologise if his words caused any discomfort. The issue dates back to a previous interview where Kapoor commented on Tamannaah’s appearance while discussing her performance in a song, which later sparked widespread backlash online.
Clarifying his stance, Kapoor said his remark was intended purely as appreciation for her performance and not meant to offend. He emphasized that admiration should not be confused with inappropriate intent, adding that his words were taken out of context. He also pointed out that the controversy was amplified due to the use of Hindi phrasing, suggesting that a similar expression in English may not have triggered such strong reactions.
In a notable gesture, Kapoor said he has no hesitation in apologising and even mentioned that he would “touch her feet” if Tamannaah felt hurt by his comment. He maintained that there was no ill intent behind his words and reiterated that his reaction came after watching her performance, which he genuinely appreciated.
The controversy has once again sparked discussions around language, perception, and the fine line between appreciation and offense in public discourse.
