Baaghi 4 Movie Review

Tiger Shroff Nailed it

Baaghi 4 is a high-octane action drama that blends love, suspense, and revenge into a commercially packaged mass entertainer. Directed by A. Harsha and based on the Tamil film Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu, the film revolves around the mysterious journey of customs officer Ranveer Pratap Singh aka Ronnie (Tiger Shroff), who wakes up from a coma after seven months only to discover that his girlfriend Alisha (Harnaaz Sandhu) has seemingly vanished and perhaps never existed.

With everyone, including his brother Jitu (Shreyas Talpade), dismissing her as a figment of his imagination, Ronnie sets out on a gripping and violent quest for answers. As he digs deeper, people connected to his investigation start dying mysteriously, prompting both the police and a dangerous mafia don Chacko (Sanjay Dutt) to chase him down. The film raises intense questions about reality, mental health, and betrayal layered under fast-paced action and emotional drama.

The film thrives primarily on Tiger Shroff’s dynamic performance, especially in action sequences and emotionally charged scenes involving love and brotherhood. His rugged, raw look and six-pack-fueled stunts are sure to excite his fan base. Harnaaz Sandhu, in her debut, impresses with her screen presence in romantic and action portions, while also drawing attention in her emotional scenes, especially in the subplot involving Sanjay Dutt, which adds depth to her character. Sanjay Dutt, portraying a layered antagonist with both negative and sympathetic shades, stands out with his commanding presence. Supporting actors like Sonam Bajwa (in a brief but glamorous guest role), Saurabh Sachdeva, Upendra Limaye, and Shreyas Talpade deliver solid performances in their respective roles.

Technically, the film is well-crafted. Swami Jay Goud’s cinematography captures both the grit and grandeur of the narrative, while the choreography and stylized fight scenes elevate the action. The music by Sanchit and Ankit, along with the background score, effectively supports the film’s emotional and thrilling moments. Sajid Nadiadwala’s high production values ensure the film feels polished and visually rich throughout.

While Baaghi 4 may tread familiar territory for South Indian audiences due to its roots and predictable narrative turns, the screenplay with its cleverly placed twists keeps the audience engaged. However, the second half drags slightly, with a few stretched sequences leading to an expected climax. Nevertheless, the film delivers what it promises, a solid action-packed entertainer with emotional stakes and stylish presentation.

Baaghi 4 is a typical mass action film with enough thrills, emotional drama, and star power to satisfy fans of the genre. Though the story may not be groundbreaking, the execution especially Tiger Shroff’s performance and the slick action sequences makes it worth a watch for lovers of action-packed, emotionally driven cinema.
