Kannappa Release Date: Vishnu Manchu Announced at Ujjain
Mohan Babu at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple
Vishnu Manchu’s most ambitious project, Kannappa, which has quickly become one of the most anticipated Pan-India films, is all set for its grand release. Alongside his father Mohan Babu, actor Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, and director Mukesh Kumar Singh, Vishnu visited the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, where the release date of the film was officially announced.
Kannappa is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 25, 2025, strategically planned for the summer—a prime season for movie releases, making the most of the long holiday period. The summer season is ideal for films of this magnitude, and it allows ample time for nationwide promotions leading up to the release.
To date, the film has unveiled its first look posters featuring the lead cast, as well as a teaser, each of which has significantly heightened anticipation for the movie. With one of the highest budgets in Indian cinema, Kannappa is set for a wide release across multiple languages, further increasing its reach.
The movie tells the untold story of Lord Shiva’s greatest devotee, Kannappa—a warrior of immense bravery and an ultimate symbol of devotion. Vishnu Manchu had earlier announced that before the film’s release, he and the team would visit all twelve Jyotirlingas. Following their pilgrimage to Kedarnath, they visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain and will soon head to Omkareshwar Temple.
Kannappa is being crafted on an international scale, with Hollywood technicians contributing to its production. The film will showcase the breathtaking beauty of New Zealand, providing audiences with a grand visual experience. The makers have plans to ramp up promotions and release regular updates to keep the buzz alive.
The film’s star-studded cast, which includes Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal, adds a special appeal, further fueling excitement among audiences.
