The Plot
As a child, Bachala Malli (Allari Naresh) was not only a top student but also a merit student in class 10th. But due to one reason, he develops extreme hatred towards his father. Not only is he emotionally shaken by his father’s injustice to his mother, he becomes a street bully. He gets addicted to alcohol and drugs and destroys his life. In such circumstances, Kaveri (Amrita Iyer) enters Malli’s life.

Twists and Turns
What is the reason why Mally’s life, who wants to study higher education, is on the road? Why did Piekallotu develop hatred towards his father? How did his anger at his father affect his life? What is the effect of the events that happened after Kaveri came into his life? Has the Kaveri family accepted Malli’s life-disrupting love? Is Malli’s life ruined? What are the roles of police officer Lakshmi Narayana (Rao Ramesh) and Ganapathy Raju (Achyut Kumar)? The answer to these questions is the story of the movie Bacchala Malli.

The Verdict
While Allari Naresh delivers a commendable performance, the film lacks a compelling story and meaningful conflicts. The emotional moments and technical finesse are not enough to salvage the film’s shortcomings.² The movie has been praised for its realistic action choreography, cinematography, and music, but criticized for its predictable screenplay and lack of depth in writing.
