Thimmarajupalli TV, Papam Prathap and Bad Boy Karthik end as disasters
The recent box office scenario has not been kind to smaller Telugu films, with Thimmarajupalli TV, Papam Prathap, and Bad Boy Karthik all ending up as disappointing ventures. Among them, Thimmarajupalli TV and Papam Prathap at least managed to earn decent reviews from critics and a section of the audience.
Both films were appreciated for their intent and content-driven approach. However, that appreciation did not translate into box office numbers. With limited buzz, lack of aggressive promotions, and absence of star power, the films failed to draw crowds to theatres. Occupancies remained low right from the opening weekend, and the weekday drops sealed their fate.
In contrast, Bad Boy Karthik turned out to be a complete washout. The film opened to poor reviews and negative word of mouth, resulting in an immediate rejection from the audience. Within days, it started losing screens, highlighting the lack of interest among moviegoers.
For Naga Shaurya, the failure of Bad Boy Karthik adds to an ongoing rough patch. The actor has been struggling to deliver a solid hit in recent years, and this setback only increases the pressure on his upcoming projects.
Overall, the performance of these films once again underlines a harsh reality, good content alone is no longer enough without strong visibility and audience pull
